Some questions about the RX 480

So yeah, I'm an AMD GPU fanboy (Intel CPUs FTW). I'm currently looking at the R9 390x, but the 480's going to be cheaper and going to outperform it, so obviously when it comes out I'll be on top of that (resisting a "your mom" pun). I do have a question about it though. They said it's going to START at $199, but there's going to be 4GB and 8GB models right? So which is the model that beats the 980 and 390x?

The difference between the 4GB and 8GB models is the amount of VRAM. One has 4GB the other has 8GB. That's it - no difference in performance per se, unless you hit the 4GB wall, but that's not going to happen without dual cards on 4K (and maybe not even then). Maybe VR use is more VRAM intensive, I dunno.

I wouldn't be so sure about the 480 beating GTX 980. They will trade blows, maybe.

Ah thank you. Anyways yes about 24 hours ago they leaked some benchmarks where the 480 did indeed surpass the 390x and 980 and almost getting up to the R9 Fury (non-X). Of course there's no way of knowing if these benchmarks are 100% true, but hopefully they are because I really want to save $150. How expensive do you think the 8GB model will be? $250?

Rumors have it priced anywhere from $20-$50 more than the 4 GB model. However, I would think it would be closer to the $50.
