i am quite new to the enthusiast scene and have just started getting acquainted with the details about hardware. I need some help understanding some details about RAM from the article "OCZ EL PC2-8000 XTC: Low Latency PLUS DDR2-1100". Some of the information has just left me baffled. ??? . could someone pls be kind enough to point me in the right direction as to where i could read up on this or even better could someone pls be kind enought to explain to me reg. the following.

what is CAS latency? what is tRAS performance? what is RAS precharge? and what do timings like 3-2-2-9 mean exactly?
