Look up the definition of opinion, tell me how that statement above is an opinion and get back to me.

There's more in the world than just opinions and facts. (Hint: Lies, or false statements.) Unless this kid known as "pope killer" actually had contact with the Pope, and maybe said something so utterly cruel to the Pope that it emotionally pained him, his statement has no merit so it's just a false statement.

ah, but the pope is a "sacred cow" - especially now he's dead. The man was wonderful - end. of. story. No dissenting opinions are allowed to be expressed.

Keep in mind I am a Catholic. The Pope was just the CEO of an empire. It's (highly) questionable if Catholism is the word of God. Bottom line is he was just some guy. A really nice guy, but in no way immune from criticism or bad jokes.

with the respect the catholic church shows for gays (and it's other nuances), I wouldn't be surprised that the figurehead like the pope gets some of the blame for that, and people show disrespect. Doesn't make either one right or wrong

Anyway, the point is, seeing a lot of the replies to serious issues here in OT, yeah, most of us are heartless sons of bitches.

lol... If stuff like that bothers you when you play games online, you obviously have not been playing that long 😛.

Anyways, it disgusts me how everyone keeps demanding 'respect' for the Pope. What if I don't give two sh*ts? Am I really obligated to care at all?

EDIT: And, if I don't care, why should any insults about the Pope bother me? If anything, they might even be funny, although I am guessing it's mostly tasteless.
