some programs/games don't detect my gf4 ti4200:S

i'm on WINXP professional, and i just recently purchased a gainward gf4 ti4200 128MB. although most of my games work alrite, i just installed RALLY TROPHY today, and it said 'NO SUITABLE 3D DEVICES FOUND'.

similarly, i also installed 3dmark-2001, and it said 'directX 8.0 compatible 3d card not present. u may need to upgrade ur computer........blah blah'

did i miss out on any settings or installations? please let me kno.....

update: i just checked out a directX driver tool, and this is what i get.....

like, WTF is goin on?
