Aight, so I'm just wondering if a 600w power supply is sufficient for a rig thats equipped with an Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4 ghz, GeForce 8800 GT and 4 gigs of ram. Honestly I have no idea, wondering if an upgrade to a 720w power supply is warranted.

Also the case I'm looking at has a 420w power supply by itself, does that mean anything? Do I add that to the main power supply or something?

Thansk much.

In most cases the PSU bundled with the case is crap and should be discarded. Now a good quality 600W PSU should easily power your system but its all a matter of which 600W units you are looking at. Most any PSU that can offer about 30A or better on the +12v rail(s) will support your system nicely.

A typical good-quality 600 W supply should have no trouble with such a system. A 600 W Jimbo's Bargain Brand supply may not fair so well.

It means the case comes with a power supply that you can remove and replace with another (presumably better) one. In general the power supplies that come with cases are most effective when used as paper weights, door stops, or weapons.
