The people with too much time.

Found this pretty interesting, did a search and couldn't find it here. I saw this link on another forum I frequent.

I watched it at work w/o sound, and on the other forum some people found the sound annoying so be warned.

Good stuff, except that the second half of the video has been posted here.

Still wondering what the message that they are always displaying is 😕

the text displayed constantly and the saying is the following:

"pitagora suicchi"
????? ?????

I haven't figured out what pitagora means, the second word is switch.

It seems the show is called this Pitagora Switch. I have come to the the conclusion that Pitagora doesn't mean anything. I just got to the long song in the video. I don't plan on typing that out.

If you can't see the japanese set your browser to Shift JIS text encoding.

The show in question is called "Pitagora Suicchi". In english, "Pythagorean Switch".

The segments of the show (including the opening and the closing) are bordered by rube goldberg machines, which are called pitagora souchi (Pythagorean Apparatuses) in Japan.

The show is a childrens show aimed at very young children, and teaches them the ways of the world.

The reason they're chanting the words is, well, because that's the name of the show. There's a wikipedia entry on the show, although it's a semi direct translation of the Japanese article, so it isn't in the best shape.
