Can you give us more info on your trip? Was it just to Kenya? What hotel did you stay at? Did you feel safe the whole time? Was everything pretty cheap?

Sure. We were there for 5 nights in Kenya. One night in Nairobi and the remaining four in the conservancy.

In Nairobi, we stayed at the Fairview Hotel. Nothing flash about it but it was clean and fairly comfy.

The next day we set off to the Reserve. For the first two nights, we stayed at the Encounter Maracamp. This is a fairly new camp in the Naboisho convervancy and is run by a South African guy and his German wife. Would highly recommend this place if you are going to the Maasai Mara. You will feel like family here. The guides are great too!

After two nights at Encounter Mara, we went to the Olare Orok conservancy and stayed at the Porini Lion camp. Not as good as Encounter Mara but decent enough.

At both Encounter Mara and Porini Lion, we stayed in tents. These tents are nice and have running water except for showers, which they have to come and fill up for you. You cannot walk alone after dark unless you are escorted by the staff. This is because you are in the wild and you could run in to an African buffalo, elephant, lion, you get the idea. At night, you can hear all kinds of animals outside, which is very cool.

Did we ever feel unsafe in Kenya? Not at all.

Is it possible to get these pics in 1920x1080 resolution? They're wallpaper worthy :)

Awesome pics! Particularly like the Griffon Vulture and the one of the lion looking at the camera.

Great pics, looks like a trip that you and your wife will remember for the rest of your lives. I have always wanted to go on a photo safari and especially diving in Lake Malawi to see those crafty and intelligent Cichlids, me so jealous!

Yea, I can give 'em to you. Which ones do you want?

So did you put the 2008 election controversy to rest while you were there?

I'm pretty sure that they had been resolved prior to my arrival. Thank goodness for that.

We're going to try and go gorilla trekking in Rwanda next year. The Kenya safari was an awesome experience.

thats cool that you saw all those animals. did you get to see the lions hunting?

No, we just caught a pride feasting on a wildebeest. Missed the kill by about 10 mins. I have pics of this and will post once I process the rest of my pictures.
