I was talking about buying this bike a few weeks ago but the price was too high, we worked out a deal and I ended up giving $500.00 cash and traded back a gun the guy had sold me a while ago.

It needs a little work but it rides nice and it is plenty fast enough for me.

GS650GT is a four carburetor four cylinder five speed bike with a ball bearing suspended crank

fixed the links thanks to merlocka!

Sweet ride - put some money aside for a good jacket, boots, gloves and helmet. Best bet, find a good, used Aerostich Roadcrafter.

Not bad, a decent price for it. Have fun on it! Definitely get a good jacket, gloves etc.
I love leather anyway.;)

Fixed.

Today's episode of Sesame Street was brought to you by the letters A, B, and C.
LoL , Did I really do that? Thanks for fixing the links.

In my O.P. I had copied the same link three times, now I know why "A" got 40+ views and "B" and "C" had nearly none :D

They are only $800 new, money you won't mind having invested if you ever meet the pavement at 80mph. I've put over 150,000 miles in two Roadcrafter suits, and having proven their pretty amazing safety features after tangling with a couple 18-wheelers I'd never wear anything but. You can usually pick them up used (the waist line shrinks over the years *wink*) for between $200 and $300.

If you are just looking for a jacket, I recommend this http://www.brocktoncycle.com/eshopprod_...heer.Leather_Motorcycle_Jackets_Fi.htm
it's last years model so it's a bit cheaper. For this years model expect to pay about 50$ more. I personnaly like fieldsheer products, affordable and good quality. Of course the Roadcrafter are better, but I don't have that much disposable income. Also look at leather riding pants or at least the armoured knee/shin pads that you can wear under jeans. And buy real riding boots, they are designed differently and worth it.

Anyway, maybe we should have a thread were all the resident geeky motorcycle enthusiasts can post pic of their bikes?
