Why dont you hang around the area where your wife saw the lady. Chances are that is her regular route. When she comes back tomorrow, kick her stroller over and steal her kid. Her lost is your gain.

you ever heard the term "stealing candy from a baby"?

it's screwed up people like that lady that coined the phrase.

what a slvt! she is lucky that it wasn't my g/f or wife or whatever... i would go to that same spot and wait forever until she shows up and will kick the living sh!t outa her :|

WTF! i know i probably wouldn't have fought for the blanket back but i'd try to be a little more assertive.

especially since i'll be making blankets for my kids whenever i have them... that's serious personal attachment there.

what a b...... she deserves to be cold in her next life.

That has to be one of the saddest stories I have ever heard. What kind of sociopath would keep a baby's blanket!

But I actually feel sorry for the woman who kept the blanket, because she must be an incredibly unhappy person.

same here. my wife would have gone off the deep end if some bitch took one of our kids blankets. I would be down bailing her out right now.

Wow, that really sux. Too bad your wife is not a little more like my wife; that woman would end up with her baby's stroller wrapped around her ears.

You're right. The world sucks these days. I guess you'll have to teach your little kid not to throw his blanket out of the stroller.

your right, the world does suck. some people write checks then cancel them afterwards because they felt they got cheated. can you believe the nerve?

Was she pushing a grocery cart full of cans?

Jeebus, I would have kicked her ass. Where was this at and what did the lady look like?

I don't know about my wife, but my 4 year old daughter would go postal on that lady if she took her blanket.

Have you thought of going with your wife when she walks that route again? I agree with the other poster that people seldom change their routes or times.

Without resorting to violence, just ask that woman why she needed to take the blanket from your wife? You could use a loud enough voice to insinuate that this other woman is so poor that she resorts to stealing a child's blanket. Loud enough to draw a crowd (if there are people walking.

Oh, and take a camera. Tell the woman you are going to take her picture and post it on the internet to show everybody what a baby blanket stealing woman looks like and where she lives.

If shame doesn't work on her, then she is truly hardcore and she is beyond redemption.

Violence is not the answer. The other lady could be much bigger or stronger; but just letting it go is also not very smart. Your wife should have called the cops and claimed the other lady stole your baby's blanket and threatened your wife. Its that simple. The cops would show up quickly and gotten the blanket back. Even if she didn't have a cell phone with her, just memorize what the lady looked like and what she was wearing, then go to the nearest phone and call 911. Describe her and describe the blanket.

My kids are very attached to their blankets, if my wife let it go, I would be pretty pissed at her for being such a wimp and not calling the cops or macing the other lady then calling the cops to get the blanket back.

Hey, some people are just very timid and shy. It's not something you can really blame them for, though you can work with them to change it. But it won't happen overnight. Anyway, like I posted earlier I wouldn't be surprised at all if this woman is an abusive mother. Stealing a blanket from a baby takes a rather screwed up person.

I'm sorry. I didn't hear that. I usually don't listen to whiny little Asian dudes that hide behind their big bad ole' computers.

BTW.. Nice word usage of "your".

I would have told the lady that my child had taken a dump on that blanket, or something to that effect. What a weirdo.
