What the police did to him in 1991 was a bit over the top...
But, at the same time society would be better off without people like him making a ruckus every so often. Sick of hearing about his sorry ass in the news, even if it's every 5 years. He also should have lost his privilege of driving along time ago and should definitely lose it now.

Sounds like he needs another beating.
I think Chris Rock called this one. Use common sense. If you jump a subway turnstyle, you might get off with a warning from the police. If you jump a subway turnstyle carrying a loaded gun and smoking a joint then maybe you need your ass kicked :D

BTW, the ass-kicking he received was not police brutality. When you assault cops while high on PCP you can expect unpleasant things to happen to you.
Uh... I don't think the police are supposed to do revenge beatings. You're supposed to get hardcore jail time for hitting a cop, not hardcore kicks from a hardcore number of hardcore cops.

As an anti-authoritarian, I strongly oppose police brutality and other abuses of power. Fvck the cops who abuse their power... they should never be allowed into law enforcement ever again.

Rodney King seems to be by all accounts a pretty scummy individual.

Doesn't really make the police brutality back in 1991 any better though.

After watching him on Celebrity Rehab a few times, he seems to be anything but...

Its called street justice, and not police brutality.

Cops uphold the law, they do not dish out street justi,.. oh yea, you're from Texas. Yes, I see; I guess you were hoping they would have shot him dead back then, or dragged him from behind a pick up truck.

Say, does Texas even have law enforcement? Or, do citizens just go around shooting and killing anyone they think is commiting a crime??

At the time he was getting his well deserved beating Rodney King had already thrown off two cops and punched another one. After that he shrugged off a couple of tazer hits. If someone does that, then continues to get up after being hit by police batons what exactly do you suggest the cops do?

Have you tried using bullets?

If he'd just stopped resisting then they would've stopped hitting him.

This.

It's good to see he learned his lesson about attacking and charging cops while resisting arrest the first time around.

Did he take the police on another high speed chase and initially resist arrest? If not, I'd say he definitely learned. :)

If he had done so, I wonder if he could have claimed "temporary scared shitlessness" from the LA beatdown. Maybe seeing and hearing those sirens induced flashbacks.

Anyway, does Craig play 6 degrees to GW Bush? Any thread he can find a connection to Bush.

The only reason we know about Rodney King is because George Holliday taped it.

The same thing the police today are trying to outlaw under illegal wiretapping and surveillance laws.

It's not that hard, to a Texas Bush fan who posts a racist thread on drunk driving.:)
