Yeah, I know there are a ton of idiots on the road, but some are too much. Well, today was the first day I drove alone. My dad followed me this morning just because he's a father and worried for me, anyway, that went fine, but then when I was coming home without him following, I ran into one problem.
It was on a small two lane road, and as I go further, approaching a point where it becomes three lanes, I notice this van coming into the middle one, which was at the opposite direction, it goes further and into my single lane road, I applied the brakes and turned right into someone's driveway, It wasn't a paved driveway, but had rocks. I was probably doing 35mph before that, I must have slowed down to 20 or even 15 and then took right turn and sped up to get back end out of road. There was a car behind me, but the van stopped by then.
Oh, did I mention this week and next week my parents are having me drive our Volvo 850 GLT since it's automatic before I take my honda with a manual transmission? We also recently got a new car, but had something happened to the Volvo, then my dad would be back to his Honda and my mother would have the new car, leaving me without one.
I can only imagine how long my parents wouldn't let me drive even if it was filed as the other person's fault. I don't know how insurance would take it either, my first day on the road. I don't know how well my description was of the situation, but there could have been lots of damage to my car if I hadn't turned right.... I hate these idiots!!!
