Pittsford revising religion policy
"The project was prompted by feedback district officials received during a controversy that erupted in December over a seasonal display in Park Road Elementary School, said Bob Kendall, assistant superintendent for program and instruction."
"Called ?Winter Magic,? the display featured three decorated evergreen trees, snowmen and candy canes beneath cutout snowflakes and stars hanging from the ceiling. Some parents complained about the religious overtones of the trees and some district staff members claimed the display breached the school district policy."
Are't their more pressing issues like alcohol and drug abuse, teen suicide, poor academic performance, etc. etc. than the display of a decorated evergreen tree.
Couldn't the time wasted on such frivolous protest be better spent?
The only thing I can say is what a bunch of nit-wits.
