As expected Intel is pushing P4s for the mainstream market and the Tua-Celerons for the budget crowd.

I wasn't expecting the 1GHz and 1.1GHz processors to stop production quite so quickly.

Intel, should just stop making processors all together, they are too expensive and slow.

Do you believe if Intel ditched the consumer chip market that AMD would remain the best bang for the buck?

As for Pentium III 1.0GHz and 1.1GHz, which were launched in early summer this year for larger Intel OEM customers, the last order was accepted on October 16, and the last shipment will be effected on October 31 2001.

Intel = OEM.

It's not like anyone was planning on buying a PIII now ;)

Is this how flamewars start?

:D

Although I think this opinion has been commented on plenty, I really doubt that it was meant seriously. Or if it was, should be taken seriously. ;)

EDIT: As for me, I just hope PowerLeap's adapter will allow the Celeratin to work in my BX board - I'd like to squeeze a bit more life out of it. :)
