Some PC Games on the Horizon that I think will be Great, WITH LINKS

well, with 2 GHZ plus machines and video cards like Geforce 3 out, I personally don't think that the new gaming consoles are going to be even touch the PC in terms of great games. I'll still buy a GC though but here are some PC games that are coming out in the next few months or even a year or so out that I think look simply AWESOME.

World of Warcraft - a massive multiplayer RPG from the best game developers out there Blizzard. Looks really great. http://www.blizzard.com/WoW/

Sid Meir's Civilization III - A CIV sequel made by the man himself. http://www.civiii.com/

Master of Orion III - if it's better than MOO2, it's gonna be a classic http://moo3.quicksilver.com/

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon - Rogue Spear was GREAT, this looks like it could be better http://gamespot.com/gamespot/stories/previews/0,10869,2808553,00.html

There are a lot of other games that look great too, Duke Nukem Forever, Freelancer, and more. Man, there are some SWEET PC games coming out. People who think the PC is dead once the new consoles come out are dreamin.

Remember, all the console games are still limited to 640X480 interlaced since they still are handicapped by having a TV as the display device! And internet gaming on consoles, haha what a joke.

I played the multiplayer demo of it, and it didn't blow me away so I didn't put it on the list. I prefer DoD. But the full version will probably be way better.

I'm looking forward to Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft. I can't wait till the beta testing starts

yeah, World of Warcraft is the one that I'm really looking forward too, I almost hope I lose a leg and can can collect disability insurance just so I don't have to go to work so I can play WoW all day with my shiny new 22 inch monitor. Hell, Everquest basically wiped out an entire semester of college in spring of 99. Luckily I got by with D's and C's and kicked my EQ addiction before the fall semester started.

Mmmmmmm I can't wait for Ghost Recon...loved RS. Still play RS too...its got well over a month of actual ingame time.

I just started playing RS again, and well, I have lost a lot of skill, I really am rusty and having a hard time getting back into it. I wish the crosshairs were thinner, they don't need to be 25 pixels wide for gods sake.

return to wolfenstein was really lagged out when i played it. the graphics look very nice though.

i agre that MoO3 and Civ3 will be awesome. Civ3 will be great gameplay, but from previews it shouldn't push graphical limits. It will be nice when games like that are released to remind other developers that gameplay is what really matters for many gamers
