Rig (all parts from newegg):

Abit IS7
Pentium 4 2.6C Retail
SLK800U with Sunnon 50CFM 80MM Fan
Crucial 512MB PC3200 x2
WD120GB SE
Radeon 9700 NP
Lite-On DVD
Lite-On CDRW
Allied True 450W
Maxtop Midtower (has good air flow, top and left intakes)
3 Addition 80MM 30CFM case fans

I haven't built an overclock rig for a few months now, here are my initial plans:

1. Build and test it everything at stock speeds
2. Set memory ratio to 5:4, which would bring FSB to 250MHZ, which makes 3.2GHZ
3. Prime

Any other advice? Or should I use a 3:2 ratio? BTW how do I enable PAT on this board? Is that what Game Accelerator does?

Thanx

under 1.7V but try the default first
some times the default can let you go a long way
but can go further if you get water cooling or phase change cooler

To enable the PAT you need to set te system performance (in Bios) to Turbo.

Budget of $200 for ram, crucial fits perfect and they have top notch customer service if I need to RMA. I only plan to run it at 200MHZ, 5:4 ratio, but if it can give more I'll be even more happy:). Some reviews of the 256MB with micron 5ns chips show pretty good overclock results. Bottom line is crucial is guaranteed to work at specs(and even anand recommends them).
