So HP is busy committing Hara Cari. One of the casualties is Palm. As we all know, all the various phone and tablet makers are suing each other for patent infringement as a strategic business maneuver to stymie competition in the burgeoning new space of mobiles. However, no player in that space has as much history as Palm! They were also making smartphones YEARS before Apple. Their patent portfolio must be huge. From a purely business standpoint, buying that portfolio would be very smart for one of the players.
