Interesting, seen this type of work before.

I like how he uses a wide angle to distort the people in some....normally it doesn't work, but with this it does.

Some of them look more CG than real life.

Whoa, that's trippy. I'd like to see the originals to compare!

Wow...looks more like CG and/or illustration than photography to me....like something you'd see in a very detailed graphic novel. I like it though.

I think it looks horrible. Most of the shots would be pretty good "normal" photographs, except those with the EXTREME angles like with the pianist.

rendered!

anyways, looks overdone on a lot(ones with very noticeable shadow halos), but it looks amazing on most.
Works well, love it.

lots of hi-radii USM on a lot of them... i love that 3d effect.

Agreed. I look at it as two things: on one hand you have photography and on the other you have digital art, which I define as exessive processing.

Yeah, there is a ridiculously fine line and it's a completely gray, too. The casual touch-ups like removing some light blemishes, sharpening, color/contrast, WB, B&W conversions and the alike all fall into regular photography. Skin processing or air-brushing, selective coloring, or HDR is all digital art.

That's my take on it, anyways. :p
