dang, 128 bit memory bus,

is it cheaper to make the card use ddr3 and a 128bit memory bus or 256bit memory bus and ddr1?

Impressive for budget nextgen cards..

I'd say buying a 9800 or 5900+ right now would be a total waste of money with these new budget nextgens only about a month or so away.

Not bad at all for a $200 card. That is about 2500 more 3DMarks than my FX 5900 was getting with a P4 3.4C.

I wonder how two of these in SLI would compare to a single 6800 GT...

Looks like great competition for a $200 street 9800P, especially in shader-heavy titles. I'm not sure AA+AF performance will be as good, due to the much lesser bandwidth (6600GT: 1GHz equivalent vs. 9800P: 1.28GHz equivalent) and the NV4x architecture (math or texture access per clock, but not both).

But if it's $200MSRP, then its real competition is the 9600XT/X600XT, and it'll cream both of them.

Well, believe it or not, I think I'm gonna put my old Voodoo3 card back in my system and wait for these 6600's to be released. My main video card just died, and I just can't spend $200 on a 9800Pro right now with these things right around the corner.
