So I've been going to this place for quite awhile now and love this band. It never really occurred to me just how much people from out of town love them too until Saturday night when I was talking to this older (55+) couple from Washington state. They came into town to watch the Opry and since it was being held in the Ryman that night they were able to just hop on over and see some of the local famous bar music. They said they loved this more than the Opry and it's mainly because of the guitarist (JD Simo).
He really starts to crank it up at around 2:45. BTW, the guy who plays the upright bass for this band is named Dave Roe and he played for Johnny Cash for about 15 years amongst some other names I'm sure you'd know (see: wiki).
Anyway, hope you take the 6 minutes it will cost ya to enjoy this. If you're ever in town and want to see it for yourself just shoot me a PM. Locals who are on the board... feel free to enjoy it as well. 🙂

I have to stress that this is probably the best local place I've been in to watch live Nashville-esque music. You all see Tootsie's plastered in front of you when watching sporting events but Roberts is where it's at.
