Had a guy behind me once who was tailgating me (literally about 10 feet off my bumper) while I was going 65 in a 55. He tailgated me for about a half-mile, at which point I tried waving him back, telling him to back up a little bit. He responded with flashing his lights, so I figured that meant he wanted me to go the speed limit. So I backed down to 55, and it was a good 5 or 6 miles before he had room to pass me. Needless to say, he was pissed, and hung out his window and yelled something at me on his way by.

I felt better after I saw how pissed he was.

Man, when i was 17, i accidently crossed the center line by my house due to me trying to swat a wasp away from my face... i looked up and a car was barreling down on me, so i swerved back to my side... the fucktard pulled a u turn, and followed me as i turned into my development, i went around to the cul d sac, and as i went to get out, he blocked me in and started yelling at me, etc... he finally decided to chuck some beer bottles at my car, i was sooooo tempted to ram his car and pin him in until cops got there, but i decided to pwn him, and put the car in reverse, and backed down about 1000' of the street at about 20mph until i pulled into a house that wasnt mine, at this point he was trying to throw bottles at me, but obviously had no idea of physics... in fact im positive i posted about this here when it happened.

cool story brah

Because being an asshole to people and watching them get pissed is fun? At least that's what i got from the post...

or ends up in murder which happens frequently enough that they have entire road rage education videos now.

Should have murdered him in a classic case of road rage, don't you have guns in the car?

No, I don't actually.

Edit-I own guns but I don't travel around with them in my car.

Yeah, I'd rather avoid pulling over and getting into a confrontation with a jerkoff like that. Let the cops deal with it...it ain't my job.

Some guy came flying up behind my brother one time when I was a passenger. He was flashing his lights and gesturing. We stopped and he stopped. He got out of his car and I got out of the car. When he seen me, he took off running. I didn't chase him. I took his keys out of his car and threw them into the woods.
Then we left with his car sitting in the middle of the lane.

Why would you guys thumbs up this? The guy isn't going to get in trouble for shit. OP was a pussy and didn't man up behind wheel.

Police didn't do anything unless there were already issues on his plate prior.

With no evidence to back up the complaint, police have no legal right to do ANYTHING other than pull the guy over and warn him to behave on the road. A policeman cannot ticket anything for which there is no proof, and if he tried, he could EASILY get out of said ticket in court as the Judge should rightfully throw it out.
No officers saw it, and no evidence = it didn't happen. For all anyone could know, you phoned in someones plate for the fact that you didn't like the color of the car or had a grudge against the driver.

I dunno. My experience has always been that it was common for police to arrest people based off of vicitm statements. If they find out who it was, the OP will have to opportunity to swear to the facts he just presented and that would be good enough for a warrant. The evidence comes in the form of testimony at a prelim. Generally, most cops I've dealt with just left things up to the DA. All they have to have to arrest is probable cause and they get get that from talking to the op and the other guy.

People get too uptight when it comes to driving. Me included. Just relax and drive. Someone going 67 in the left lane isn't worthy of getting pissed and tailgaiting and risking rearending them. Chances are you'll arrive at your destination just a minute or two later if you stay at that speed. And if you're speeding cause you're late, you have time management issues. Yes there are some implied "rules" of the road that most people don't know about. No violations are worth the rage though....

<-------needs to take his own advice sometimes.

I've almost been run off the road for purposely slowing down and blocking a car that wants to get around after they flashed their lights and swerved all over behind me when it was blatantly obvious that I had no option to move out of their way. That's just for my own entertainment.

I'll give it to you though. I'd rather see someone let something go than call the police. The cops can't do anything based on a report unless there is an accident. Calling the police is just a big waste of time and hardly "pwning" someone.

How do you "man up behind the wheel"?

crash your car into him and claim he did it

You know when they are on your ass like that, you have every right to slam on your brakes to avoid hitting a Chipmunk that runs out in front of you, which would cause him to run into the back end of your car, which is 99% his fault for tailgating you and running into your rear end.

That sir would of been "ownage", for you would of had witnesses that would of stopped saying to the cops he was riding your ass, and driving all nuts for no reason, you saw something tapped your brakes, and BAM he ran into you. Then the cops would of showed up and we would of heard then what the cops actually did to him 😀

Damn Chipmunks can be a pain in the ass and scary on the highway.

That's also a good way to get charged with a felony.

It seems that you regularly run into road rage situations, are you sure it's not you that's the catalyst of any of this? A story usually have two sides and from all your car stories that I've been privileged to read, you have always done "something" to further provoke the situations.

Time to do some soul searching for yourself buddy. Passive aggression if left untreated is never a good thing. No, you don't have to send me a check for the free session.

We had that stupidity on a highway here a few years ago. The first driver brake-checked, the second driver had to swerve onto the shoulder. Unfortunately there was a broken-down semi w/trailer and the second driver went under the truck. She survived but her fetus did not.
