NVIDIA has already announced the GeForce Go for 7300, 7400, 7600 and 7800 series but has been keeping quiet for their desktops refresh to replace the current GeForce 6200 and 6600 series. ATi has already unveiled their cards for mainstream and budget segment with their X1600 and X1300 series. X1600 has 12 pipelines and X1300 sports 4 pipelines. We have gotten some information of the GeForce 7300GT meant to replace 6200 series and compete against X1300 will feature 8 pipelines. It is clocked at 350MHz core, 666MHz memory on 128-bit interface. The 3DMark05 score is around 3K and expected availability is around April period.

MSRP is probably the same as the 6200 series. A 6200 non TC goes aroud 60~70ish dollars?

IS it too late though?

NVIDIA is set to launch GeForce 7800GS AGP in early February and it will be the highest end graphics card that users can buy for their AGP platform. There are two variants of of the 7800GS; 100 and 200 series. The higher end GeForce 7800GS 200 will be available first and the core clock is expected to hit around 400MHz. The GeForce 7800GS 100 will come later as there are some performance issues to be solved right now.

Guess its true. I might be getting one of these. Now all depends on the price.

Its worth noting that the Anandtech review of the 7800GS was a 375MHz core. If this ships with a 400MHz core... well that would be more ;)

It might be interesting to see if eVGA takes it a step even further with copper sinks?

my 6800GT AGP killed over lastnight, in the process of doing a RMA. this is good news about the 7800gs and for AGP diehards, but i decided to go PCIe and get a XFX6800gs and Epox SLI S754 mobo, I can't wait til Feb(d@mn NV for taking so long). a 7800gs sporting a 400mhz core would be very nice, can't wait to see the final specs on this card.

The 7300 will do only as much as they say: compete with two other sh!tty ass cards. 3k? Bleh, my 9800np almost reaches that. $75 card out of the blocks.

If they release a 7600GS I would be very interested if it competes in the $150-$200 price bracket with the x800gto.

And the 7800GS...well, i'm sure their goal is to make it the fastest agp option. If it's under $300 it will fly off the shelves.

If Rollo you come in here you should change your pic to the Devil again. But i dont think you will get the 7300.

If that's true memory speed i'm definitely gonna get one, lol.

For 60ish dollars, and its supposed 3k speed, at least it will be 3 times as fast as a 6200 non TC. What i think is that the 7300 series will be pin to pin capable with the 6200/6600 PCBs. The 6600 series and the 6200 series all use the same core (hence why some 6200 unlock to 8 pipes).

So, i think the ultra cheap ones (7300) will use 64bit, while the (7300GS/GT etc) will use 128bit. Plus since their on 90nm low k we can expect some/massive OCable space. (Funny how its only clocked up to 350mhz)

It will be interesting if this card is almost as fast as a 6600GT. (Theoretically, a 7 series pipeline is 1.5 times faster than the 6 series pipeline).

All in all, i still want more infos on 7600GT and what new features there will be. (If any)
