Some mixed OC questions - 2500k

1. When testing for stability with linX does hwmonitor/coretemp give accurate max temps? I ask because linX bogs the system down quite a bit and coretemp dosent update all that frequently whilst it runs so im not sure if the temps it shows are actually accurate.

2. Why is a fixed voltage more stable than offset? Will offset be stable if i just throw more voltage at it?

3. Is it best to keep LLC turned off? Ive had my best results so far with it off, that is running within intel spec with maximum vdroop. Any opinions on LLC?

Anyone got any OC tips for the board i have? Asrock extreme 3 gen 3 🙂

I would use RealTemp; it also has a monitor for wattage and VID that I find useful.

I don't think more voltage, per se, is necessarily a good thing... it does contribute to higher CPU temps.
