Noooooo!!!

I don't care who leaves as long as Elisha Cuthbert and Kiefer Sutherland are still in it.

looks like it cuts out on the boyfriend/girlfriend-husband/wife drama. i don't see that as a bad thing.

No mention of President Palmer's role being removed. I wonder if Jack's going to betray his country next season. Seeds are in place for this (I guess Tony is going to go to jail...)

huh, interesting...so they're going to kill Chase off? Otherwise, how do they account for the relationship with Kim...

I guess Tony'll go to jail and Michelle'll quit?

Not necessarily...

The two, as well as Carlos Bernard (aka CTU's Tony Almeida), could return to the real-time drama next season for guest appearances.

He was cool :(

It sucks about Michelle - I could care less about Tony though. Chase's character has been a bust really, except for that he's banging Kim and they tried making that into a weak storyline.

Tony is a stud and Chase is almost as badass as Jack, how can you get rid of them?

Also up in the air is the "24" future of Mary Lynn Rajskub, Zachary Quinto and Daniel Dae Kim, who played CTU members on a recurring basis.
How could they cut sweet, lovable Chole?!?

It is kind of odd to see them lose Chase. I may not like him totally, yet, but it just seems odd to start to build up his character this season then just lose him next season. I could understand the plot line involving Michelle and Tony; Tony goes to jail and Miohelle losing her security clearance because of her husband or otherwise leaves CTU. What's up, though, with losing Chloe, and "The_Asian_Dude"? Maybe some people get killed off during the next episode.

Because he committed treason by sneaking Saunders' daughter out.

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- "24's" Counter Terrorism Unit will undergo some major downsizing this fall.

Sources said that the actors who play Jack Bauer's (Kiefer Sutherland) CTU colleagues on the Fox drama have been informed that their options as series regulars will not be picked up for next season.

Reiko Aylesworth and James Badge Dale, who play CTU members Michelle Dessler and Chase Edmunds, respectively, received the news just as they were to attend the Fox party after the network's upfront presentation to advertisers last Thursday, sources said.

The two, as well as Carlos Bernard (aka CTU's Tony Almeida), could return to the real-time drama next season for guest appearances.

Also up in the air is the "24" future of Mary Lynn Rajskub, Zachary Quinto and Daniel Dae Kim, who played CTU members on a recurring basis.

Meanwhile, Elisha Cuthbert, who plays Jack's daughter and CTU analyst Kimberly Bauer, is fielding film offers and is expected to recur next season subject to her availability. She was most recently in theaters playing a former porn star in "The Girl Next Door."

can someone explain what Chloe's role is? At the beginning of the season, she seemed like Jack's secretary? Now she seems to be a senior member of the staff?

Or maybe him and Michele think it best, due to their relationship, to do other things. Since he all got shot in the neck, she *should have* been exposed to a 100% fatal chemical, then got kidnapped. :)

As much as I don't want to see her go, I can understand losing Michelle and Tony. Michelle knows she can't have a family with both of them in CTU (assuming Tony goes free).

I think losing Chase and Chloe is a bad idea.
