I just installed mouseware to use the 4th button on my Mouseman Dual Optical in games and Logitech have some insane settings. Best match I can find is acceleration at low and speed on the 3rd notch but it's still not perfect and I don't want to adapt because I'm lazy. Anyone know what windows default is?

I'm using mouseware 9.61 which does actually fix any previous problems such as the wheel in games.

Task manager says EM_EXEC.EXE is using 1,396K which seems quite a lot for just a mouse driver. Anyone know of some kind of hackup to just install a driver that enables the 4th button in games without mouseware? Only installing the drivers off the cd does not enable the 4th button in games.

I can't really answer your questions but I recently bought the same mouse as you, and I'm EXTREMELY disappointed with the Mouseware software. It's buggy and offers very little options. The hardware part of the mouse is great though.

I gotta agree with ElDon - Logitech's drivers are asss...

I've never gotten my optical scroll mice to "scroll" correctly - on two separate machines. :(
