Some KT7-RAID questions

Hi guys,

I'm the owner of a Duron 600/KT7-RAID combo. Almost everything is working flawlessly. However, Standby does not seem to work in Win2k. Does the KT7-RAID have problems with power managment in general with win2k? I have 4 case fans, all of them connected to a 4 pins plug from the power supply, and they won't stop when I put the puter on Standby. I tried to set STR (Suspend To RAM) in the bios, had to reboot because win2k never woke up from it. Are 4pins fans supposed to stop like 3pins fan, or is this just for 3pins fans?

Also, my Duron is overclocked to 990Mhz (9x110), but what I'd like to know is what (approximative name of the option here :)) CPU Command strength are you using? It default is 2, but it can be set to 1 or 3. Also (same here), is it better, when overclocking, to set CPU Command Decode to Slow, Normal or Fast (default is normal)? Thanks a lot!

P.S.: sorry for the weird sentences, I had to type VERY fast :)

I am not running Win2K (I am doing WinME), but my on my KT7-RAID, the fans run constantly regardless on standby or not. I am sure that it a simple tweak, but haven't tried to fix it yet. FWIW.

There is a fix for AGP cards and Athlon processors fo win 2000 at microsofts sight.
Also check their support for Power management in win 2000
Check here

billyjak: thanks for droping a note, but the problem is far from being agp related :) All my programs/games/benchmarks runs just fine... never had a single crash at that speed. I'll check MS support site for the PM problem tho.

Is there actually someone that got standby/STR to work correctly under win2k (or under 98/ME)? That would simplify things. I would then know I have a problem :) Thanks

Are they supposed to shut off when in STR (Suspend To Ram) mode? Or only 3pins fans can do that too?
