so anyway,
5 minutes after xp is loaded my pc will guaranteed freeze every time.
it also turns on by it's self minutes after i shut it down.

all hardware fans are running fine. the only heat issue i may have noticed was the south bridge chip which was quite hot at 48.8 C. is that normal?

other wise the system temprature is usually around 38C at the most, and i have front-side-top-rear fans working at full blast.

this is irritating.

we need a more detailed description of "freeze." does it blue screen? does it just freeze and then reboot? Has the ram been tested with memtest? if it is actually turning itself on, the motherboard must be shorted somewhere. reconnect the front panel jumpers (power button, power LED, hdd LED, etc...) i wouldn't know about temps on that setup except for CPU temp, which is fine if thats what you mean by "system temp." the freezing sounds like it could be a temp problem, but turning itself on is just wierd. try all that stuff.
