Some guy at the gym smelled horrible

Just got back form the gym. Some guy walked into the weight room and got situated on a bench right next too me. He smelled of sh*t. I have never smelled BO that bad. I looked at him with a face of disgust, brought a portable fan over to where we were, aimed it at him and turned it on low.

That is all.

Oh, and I got rear ended by an angry father in a minivan on my way to class this morning.

people usually smell in gym... if they smell before, it gets worse when mixed with sweat. so you just pretty much fan it for the entire room to smell?

Well my intention was to air the area around us. I couldnt care less if the smell spread, just as long as it spread out away from me.

Someone who isn't a total asshole would've just moved to another bench or quietly told him, "Hey, buddy, no offense, but you've got a major BO situation going on."

so wait a minute, you mean to tell me i have to shower and put on cologne etc BEFORE i go to the gym?

weird, next he's going to post how the guy that sat in the stall next to him smelled of sh1t as he did his business.

It's a gym, so yes, there are sweaty people everywhere. I sweat and Im sure I dont smell fantastic. But this guy had a bad BO problem or hadnt showered in days. Someone should be aware of the way they smell.

Well, if you weren't so bitchy you'd have told him. I've done it before, I've offered deodorant/anti-perspirant too.

Did he come over and sit next to you or did you go and sit next to him. Face it, why don't you just ask the guy if he want's to shower with you?

I disagree. It's just as likely that someone would construe your comment as being "asshole-ish". Frankly, the guy was an asshole for smelling like sh*t. I think aiming a fan at him makes a pretty good statement: don't come in here with feces on you.

i vote for the unconfrontational method and just move to another bench.
