So I bought the GTA V form Steam, like a million other people. But after installation, I entered the game, changed some graphic settings and now when I click on the story mode it simply says loading and that's infinite. It never actually loads.

I started to get around of this issue at midnight in my country and now its 3:40. So I will leave it here about my feelings.

I just wanted to play this game.

I have created a topic on Steam already but no one bothered to reply! http://steamcommunity.com/app/271590/discussions/0/613956964581501209/

The moral of the story is, never use nvidia's geforce experience to change the settings in your game.

I didn't click on the Optimise option. I just manually changed the setting in reference with Nvidia's. I must have missed one or two settings here and there.

The moral of the story is weird! I can change to whatever settings I like right? I mean the game might stutter, lag and all that but any game should actually load! Or am I smoking something?

#1 run as administration to test for proper permissions.
#2 You are running GTA 5 version of nvidia drivers, right?
#3 go trough currently running programs (and programs on startup) and cull them to remove any running programs from causing issues.

Can you open the game to the main menu? You might try going in and setting all the graphics options to default to see if the game loads normally. And set the options from within the game menu, not the Geforce experience. If that doesn't work, verify the integrity of the game cache in Steam. If that fails, you may need to uninstall and redownload.

1- Haven't tried with Admin mode, will try now. PS: Okay, I don't know how to run this in Admin mode, when I right click on the desktop icon there's no Admin mode to select!
2- Yes, latest drivers, 350.12
3- I don't see any program which could cause an issue. Honestly speaking I have never in my life had an experience like this!

Yes, I can open the Menu, but when I set on Restore default the game exits on its own and starts in Windowed Mode.

Redownloading is out of question, as I had to wait almost 8 days to download this game. I would rather not play than redownloading honestly.

PS: Just checked validity, its proper!

So restore defaults, go back into graphics and change from windowed to fullscreen and then try starting a new game. The game takes a fair amount of time to load normally, so let it run for a bit before assuming it crashed.

If that doesn't work, try running Online mode and see if it will load up; if that works, it may let you switch back into single player.

Tell me one thing, can I create a different Rockstar account and login from that? Every now and then I am seeing that you have been logged out message!

Okay, I somehow entered the gameplay, with all graphic settings to Normal and the game now crashes at the below scene. Happened two times at a stretch.

Your Rockstar account is tied to the game (and Steam account as well, I believe), so no, you can't. You might update your password as it could be kicking you out as someone is attempting to access your account. But it might just be internet hiccups.

Is your graphics card overclocked? Something is clearly wrong there; it's not loading the textures for the area you're entering. Maybe do a complete graphics driver wipe and reinstall the most recent drivers as a clean install?

Okay, probably. Okay it's a hat trick of crashes now! I have no idea what to do!

The thing is this is my first purchased game, and the experience so far has been is just wonderful!

If someone could tell me where should I ask this for maximum support I will be pleasured.

OC? The CPU is OCed only, not the GPU. This GPU is just few days old!

Other games are running like butter, Far Cry 4, COD AW etc!

But I am still going to do a clean installation of graphic driver. The texture is not loaded in that scene could be normal, because that's the last frame before the crash, if something wasn't wrong why would it crash anyway?

PS: Okay I don't know how to do a clean installation! One thing, I just moved to this GPU from a 580, and I didn't do anything software wise, could that be the cause?

Indeed it could. You should always completely remove old drivers when changing hardware, even if it's from the same manufacturer. Uninstall your old drivers completely, reinstall the newest Nvidia drivers and select a clean install.

You got a messed up install. Download again. I had something similar

This is why having 105Mbps internet is worth it to me.

High speed internet is always worthy, not only for downloading games. But here I don't have much option!

I can't believe that I will have to download this for more than a week again! Unbelievable! What could possible go wrong with downloading anyway?

I uploaded a video to YouTube, don't know! No sleep since last night, now gotta go to office, my mother is right, I am just a dumb kid wasting my time.

Dont know if you tried this, but go to Steam, click the "Games" menu, then view games library, right click on the game (GTA 5),click on properties, then "Local Files" tab, then click "verify integrity of game cache". You might be able to find and correct errors without re-downloading the entire game.

Hope this helps. I feel for you about your slow internet. Mine is not as bad, but it took me nearly an entire day to download Dragon Age: Inquisition. It is good that games are getting more content, but these huge file sizes are getting out of hand for someone without a really fast internet or if they have a bandwidth usage cap.

Done, no change. Exact same thing at exact same location.

Had crashing right there,if you don't got a pagefile enabled then enable something like 3-4gb.Not sure but this game uses insane amounts of memory both physical and virtual.
