Some Graphics Issues in Witcher

I posted this over in the guide to getting 4850's up and running, but I didn't get a response and thought I might do better here, sorry if that's not allowed. I just built my system and the only game I've got so far with modern graphics is Witcher, and I'm getting a bunch of horizontal lines flickering across the screen in the video cut scenes when the action picks up. I've tried changing around the game settings, as well as the settings in the Catalyst Control Center, but it hasn't worked. Does anybody know what might be causing this, or how to fix it? I thought I should be able to play just about any game on decent settings with a 4850, could there be a problem not related to that? Thanks guys.

Update: I searched around a bit, and I think it's image tearing. I still don't know how to fix it, Witcher doesn't have a VSync option. Any Ideas?

I had that problem with the witcher also. I remember i fixed it with VSync - there should be an option to enable VSync in CCC?

Are you playing at your monitor's native resolution? Have the latest Witcher patch (1.3) loaded? Latest CATs? I have an ATI card and play The Witcher quite a bit...no issues at all and I'm not using any special settings or hacks. 😕

I was at the correct resolution, updated drivers, and patch 1.3 and it still wouldn't work. For whatever reason, the CCC VSync option wasn't working, but I was able to fix it using D3D Overrider and it looks great now.

Do I have to turn on D3D Overrider every time I want to play to get it to work right?

Thanks for the help.
