Yeah, the servers are getting busy, it started out at 160k and has dropped down to 101k 🙁
 
I'm ashamed to say it but I've never heard of this game until I read this thread 😱
I mostly just play CS and starcraft... how is it compared to CS in terms of fun?
 
I have the first demo. Its...uh...very different than CS. Has about as much plot as a porno flick 😉. Its like Doom. LOTS of action. Big maps. Single player has tons of bad guys to fight. The Serious engine is great! Big open well lit outdoor areas. More of a fast paced arcade type game. I'm anxious to see what the multi player is like. 85%....almost there!
 
I just finished the download! Hope to see you online for multiplayer if that's possible, I'll post back here as soon as I get a feel for the game and see whether it's possible for everyone in this thread to meet somewhere for a game

To answer your question rhinox99, Serious Sam is a total step away from the current trend of ultra-realism in first person shooters. Think Doom I or II -- blast and don't look back. I loved everything about Test 1.

Keep in mind this isn't a demo, it's a test...there are numerous freaky network problems with it. But that's it's purpose, for them to find these problems. I talked to Alen one of the developers after I played it a bit on my friend's server, real nice guy.

If you're getting autoadjust messages over and over, run either the LAN or Stable connection add-ons under options.
