so I'll post a playlist of the songs I thought were pretty decent from it (with the exception of 3 songs that are just in there)

I've only seen the show once and couldn't stand it, but it does have some kickass music. Try Pinback (either Loro or AFK to start ya out, not the ones they list), awesome band. It's cool that the show is playing a lot of these bands though.

I think the reason they play the songs they do is because they don't have to pay as much to put non-mainstream music in there...

Yeah but I'm sick of that song... it's a good song but it lost its appeal

pinback is pretty good stuff

I didnt want to like the show but I watched the marathon of it on FX awhile ago, I have to admit i like it

I'm surprised a lot by the music they play, some pretty good bands.

check out Phantom Planet's self titled album, as well as The Guest. lots of better songs than California.
