Some good ergonomic mice?

I'm finding my wrist hurts more and more when I use a mouse, and find myself positioning my hand so that I'm in a handshake position. Are there any good mice that let me use a handshake or pen holding position?
 
With the trackball I think my hand is still oriented the same way I'm using my current mouse (intellimouse explorer 3), but I admit I haven't really looked into that.

The graphics tablet is a solution I'm currently debating about; they're rather large, aren't they?
 
I cant remember the name of it but there is a mouse that you basically shake hands with, it stands upright almost like small joystick but you move it around like a mouse (and it has an optical sensor on the bottum)
 
the joystick one i dont know about, the evoluent is wicked looking...seems like it'd be very comfortable
