This girl called my cell phone (number withheld) and asked for "Wendy". When I told her I think she had the wrong number and asked her what number she was looking for. She said that "Wendy" programmed the number into her phone, so she didn't know. I told her she must have put the number in incorrectly, and that was the end of that.
1 minute later, she calls me again! I said, "Ok, so you dialed a number from your phonebook, you found out it was the wrong number, so you hung up and DIALED THE SAME NUMBER AGAIN. Is that an accurate account of what happened in the last two minutes?" I thought I sounded kinda like an jerk saying that to her, but I really wanted to know what was going through her mind. She sounded kinda embarrassed and said that she thought her phone malfunctioned. I told her I wasn't annoyed and then I told her my number, so she could find out what her friend's number was and compare.
Cut to 1 minute later, she calls me again!! This time, however, her phone number wasn't withheld (her number was remarkably similar to mine) and she started chatting with me, asking me how old I was, my name, my school, what I studied, and so on (maybe it is true that a$$holes do get more girls). I was kinda uncomfortable telling her this, so I asked the same questions back. She told me she was 17 but graduated early so she's in college now. Her area code was the same as mine, so I asked her if she lived in the city where I live. She said no, but she did live 45 minutes away. I thought that this might have been some sort of prank by one of my friends, so I wasn't going to let them make a fool out of me. Just when I was about to ask her if this was some sort of prank, she hung up.
Well, a 5 second google search of her phone number resulted in her xanga and her myspace page. Seems legit, so maybe it wasn't a prank but an actual wrong number. Also, it seems like she lied and she's not in college.
