Some games do not save or launch

Games that have stopped saving or reading save data include borderlands 2 Grid 2 nba 2k13 and mlb 2k12

while witcher 2 and Gnomoria have stopped launching

So i installed windows 8.1 on a different hard drive then used the library that the original computer was having problems with and was able to use them fine no problems whatsoever

So fair i have tried reinstalling net frame work
Direct x
my Video card drivers and When i try to reinstall them i get a "Nvidia could not start process also launched it as admin same thing
reinstalling the games that had the problems
I also removed my antivirus and tried reinstalling my drivers but same thing

I'm assuming these are steam games, or? You've not given any information that's of any use, at all.

I also checked event viewer and i get this error from gnomoria
it is Faulting module name Kernelbase.dll exception code 0xe0434352

I decided to reformat my hhd and now all my games work fine. Saw someone else was having the same type of problem and there only fix was to reinstall windows
