They are rare, but there are 9600 GSO cards with 8 memory chips and GPU that doesn't have some of it's processing units disabled on hardware level. So with bios mod you can enable all 128SP's and also make it 256-bit.

Too bad that Galaxy is one of Palit's brands for Asian markets and only few of those are sold in Northern America.

Was this not put a stop to back in the 9500pro era whereby cards made after that had the extra pipelines 'laser cut' just like some Athlon CPU's that had half the cache disabled that you used to be able to pencil mod in order to use. I would assume these are not really '9600' cards but excess 8800 stock that could not reach the speed bin / stability with all SP's.

Nonetheless, an interesting product to lookout for.
