Who's the quarterback with the highest single season QB rating? The first thing that comes to my mind is Dan Marino with something like 108 or 109...

Is there some sort of minimum pass attempts for QB rating? I would hate for it to be a 2nd stringer that completed 13-18 with 2 TD's.

He was one hell of a Back Up for Joe Montana. Of course both his and Joe's ratings can be directly attributed to Bill Walsh's West Coast Offense which concentrated on the short pass instead of the running game. I think Joe was better than Steve despite Steve having a higher rating.
