*When downloading, how can I open from its current location like in IE? In Firefox, I have to download, go to the downloaded folder, locate the file, run it and then delete it....

*Plug-ins, why can't they automatically DL and install itself? From quicktime, shockwave, to online virus scans, I have to manually download them ALL via all the steps mentioned above....

You're on your own for the plugins, but going to the options menu of the download manager will yield the results you were looking for in your first question...

btw, is this your 3rd firefox thread? ;)

1. Choose "Open with... [exefile (default).]"
2. Because that way you get to miss out on things like eZula TopText. Thank God, and I hope it never does automatic downloads. And anyway, it takes, what, a minute to install flash? Granted, Quicktime is worse, as it does Real style BS. But isn't like it's a hardship, and you only need to do it once--upgrade and they still work.

1. Type "about:config" in the adress field.
2. Set the value of network.http.pipelining to "true".
3. Set the value of network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to "100".
4. Set the value of network.http.proxy.pipelining to "true"
5. Set the value of nglayout.initialpaint.delay to "0"

that will make pages load faster too.

Just wait, MS was forced to stop distributing their JVM because it broke some Java standards. and Sun sued them. You can still find the MSJVM on the web but as Windows progresses it'll eventually stop working, so you had better get used to the Sun JVM.
