Some files listed blue and some black

Does anybody know why in WinXP Pro recently modified files would be black while others are blue in explorer. It's very annoying. Can it be turned off?

Thanks.

Edit: I must have just overlooked the option. It's compressed files being shown in color and can be turned off in folder options.

if they are blue in explorer it means that they have been compressed, to stop that behavior you could either decompress them (right click>advanced>compress) or change your folder view options (in explorer tools>folder options>view>show compressed or encrypted ntfs files in color).

Cheers
