Will AT subscribers ever see cool features like file downloads and picture hosting?New (test) features for Premiere Subscriptors!

Back in September, we experimented with letting Premiere Subscriptors download the UT2003 Demo from the Ars Orbiting Headquarters. The response was overwhelmingly positive, so we've decided to to experiment and expand, for now, the testing to include more files and a nifty web based interface. Those of you who use download managers will be happy to know that this service is fully download manager compatible (we think). Head on over to the Ars Member Download Area and log in to start downloading. Currently, only the newly released UT2003 Retail Patch and the "No One Lives Forever 2" demo are available, but there will be plenty more soon. As of yet, we do not plan on building this service to host all and any possible downloads, such as is already available by the might FileShack. Rather, we just want to cover some of the more important files as a thank-you to the subscribers, who keep Ars runnin'.
In addition to the file downloads, we're also offering Image Hosting to Premiere Subscriptors. Users are limited to 5MB of space and 2GB of bandwidth per month, which should be plenty for posting pictures of your city's skyline in the OpenForum. So head on over and start testing these new services. If response continues to be positive, we'll consider rolling these into the offical Subscriber benefits.
