i don't understand this, i didn't eat extra stuff, i just didn't get XXXX calories from the HFCS

The fun part of this is that I think you can label something as "low calorie" simply by reducing the serving size. Want to make butter be a low calorie food? Make the serving size 1 gram. Wow, only 9 calories per serving! Chow down!

no, you can't anymore. the government started requiring standardized serving sizes because of crap like that. the original "lite" klondike bar had 1/3 the fat and 1/3 the calories because it was 1/3 the size.

that and you'll get hit by the FTC for deceptive advertising practices

That's quite the misleading title. Diet Soda definitely doesn't add pounds. It's the extra food that people order because they're having a diet soda.

I've dropped 20 lbs since October from merely cutting out regular soda (and switching to diet soda), and walking on a treadmill a few times a week. I'm pretty damn sure that the treadmill isn't responsible for all 20 lbs. lost. I've cut probably 300-500 calories a day by not drinking regular soda.

most people are inherently idiots

The only people I know who drink Diet Coke are fat people. Everyone else drinks normal Coke.

what a retarded headline. it should read "study finds fat people who drink diet end up eating more calories to make up for the loss"

Here's a new study! Fat people are more likely to go on diets than skinny people! Therefore, DIETING makes you FAT :Q

Eat less, exercise more -> lose weight

Not do the above -> gain weight

Duh!
