I think I?ve narrowed down this problem to the a Cisco PIX 506.
Client has an Exchange 2007 server. Email is working fine. There are no MX spam filters, no spam filtering on the server and content filtering on Exchange has been disabled.
The problem is, occasionally, and it does not matter who sends an email or where it is sent to, but some emails to Client are not being delivered to mailboxes. I cannot find them in the Exchange Message Tracking either. Emails that are delivered, I do see in the Message Tracking.
I?ve narrowed it down to some kind of spam or content filtering. I thought originally it was an outgoing spam filter with a client that was trying to send emails to Client, but I tried sending on various other personal email accounts to Client and I experienced the same problem. I can easily recreated the problem by putting in "Penis Enlargment" in the subject of the email. So it definitely is some kind of filtering but I don't know where.
MailGuard on the PIX is disabled!
Anything else that could be blocking it??
