Some doctors seriously suck.

What the hell good are they if the earliest they can see you is freakin December? I've called 4 doctors this morning, 2 are booking appts in Dec, 2 arent accepting new appts.

They told me to call the hospital if its that bad.

Well its not THAT bad, but hell, its not 3 months away ok....

I assume it's a specialty doctor your needing? GPs generally leave lots of open space in their scheduling for minor problems that arise quickly.

that's really unreasonable, but not at all unheard of unfortunately.

I'm running into the same problem. I need a specialty doctor, but can't go to the one i need unless my primary care physician recommeneds i go there and has the same hospital privileges. But i don't have a doctor and everyone I call is booked for months. I don't know what to do.

Call the local AMA and get a list of MDs taking new patients.

Medicare does STD testing .... just so you know.

If you have health insurance, call them. They may be able to point you to a new doctor who's not yet listed in the phone book.

Its a good thing we don't have nationalized healthcare like in canada, otherwise we'd have to wait forever to get an appointment!
