My condolences, it's a hard thing to go through - if you don't mind me asking, how far along was the baby? What was the cause?

My mother had two miscarriages before I was born, and both were late in the pregnancy. :(

The first time my wife got pregnant, we had a miscarriage. I remember sitting down in the doctor's office, feeling like I had been punched in the stomach. Ours was very similar; ~7 weeks, no real reason known, just not a "viable pregnancy".

Seven years later, I have three healthy, wonderful boys. Enjoy your marriage, enjoy your wife, enjoy your new house, mourn a little, and most of all, don't dwell on it. It will happen.

thanks to all for the well wishes. I thought hard about posting it here, but I have come to the conclusion that this god forsaken place is like a second (and slightly more) dysfunctional family and the benefits of posting personal stuff usually outweight the risks...

So sorry about your loss. Several of my friends have had to deal with the loss of miscarriage. It is a terrible thing to face.
