We can send a man on the moon but we are nowhere close to ending wars - in fact, we're constantly trying to perfect the art of killing. Shows you where our priorities lie.

Dinosaurs roamed the earth for motherfvcking 160 million years (started in middle Triassic and became extinct in the Cretaceous period i.e 220-65 million years ago).

Us humans only been here for 100,000-200,000 years. At 200,000 years, that's being very generous with drawing the line where the modern human started.

Crazy.

Those reptiles claimed this land for a near eternity. Us mammal humans roll up in here, already pollute crap up on global scale, wage massacres, and land on the moon.
:hmm:

So that begs the question why didn't dinosaurs evolve? Why, because a creator made the earth and made it for man. It's kind of like making bread. You proof the dough with yeast and then the rest comes together.

- Evolution doesn't guarantee survival of everything. Nature doesn't care about attrition rates, either. Whatever happens to be best at surviving is what remains.
And we do have still with us today the distant survivors of dinosaur ancestors: Birds.

- Sudden dramatic climate change, such as from large asteroid impacts, doesn't bode well for anything. There have been a few of those mass extinctions in this planet's history, where more than 90% of everything alive died.

- Some things did indeed survive intact, and subsequently adapt to a changed environment. Alligators and crocodiles are still fairly similar to what they were during that era, though they are smaller now than they were then.

It's not possible that you have thought that through.
You either have mental health issues or are a horrible troll.
You take good pics though.

Yep, dinosaurs are just a class of animal. Mammals are believed to have evolves somewhere between 225 and 167 million years ago, depending on the definition of what makes a proto-mammal. So mammals are actually doing a fair bit better than the dinos did.

You do realize that mammals appeared in the Late Triassic, 225Ma ago. Who's to say that the descendants of Troodon would not have landed on the moon if not wiped by the End-Cretaceous event?

The period where the T-Rex existed is closer to today then to the period where the Allosaurus existed.

On a similar note, Cleopatra lived closer to today than to when the great pyramids were constructed.

Try this one.

At 1G of constant acceleration, due to relativity, the edge of the observable universe is 45 years away....

Evolving into big dinosaurs to kill each other?

It was a dominant paradigm though. A hegemony I guess. We basically rule the planet. Dinosaurs of all types ruled the planet, mammals etc. were like the fox in your trash can.

pfft we evolved more in those 200k than they did in their 160 mil.

Also we have bacon.

Would you care to back this up in a way that makes me believe you have the tiniest idea what evolution is? At the moment this goes down as my number 1 stupid comment of the week.

I'm pretty sure I giant t-rex taking a dump probably pollutes more then what I ever have lol.

I'm also pretty confident in saying not all dinosaurs got alone. But hey maybe the T-rex was just a pretty nice fellow that got along with all the other dinosaurs.

There would be no evidence of a super-intelligent species that left the earth before the meteor attack. I choose to believe there was such a species.

Well that's why we haven't been back to the moon since 1972. Went there, found nothing there to kill, so we left.
