Some confusion in antec cases

I dunnoh looking at antec's site they look the same, same psu (the bqe actually has a sl350s pus and the amb has a sl350 psu but they have the same specs)

Antec SLK3700AMB Metalic Bronze w/ 350W PSU $89
Antec SLK3700BQE Black Quiet Super Mid Tower w/350W $100
(I am in Canada andprices are Canadian)

so... which is better?

according the newegg's pics (just lookin i know newegg is US) the has a rotated hard drive rack... due to this, it has one less mounting point(makes no diff to me doubt i will ever have more than 2 hard drives...)

Ok so whats teh difference.... thanks, i'd better have some answers tomorrow! 😛

the bqe has a slighty better psu. it uses an antec true power instead of a normal antec. the true power is suppose to be a little bit queiter since it uses only a single fan instead of two. the bqe also has a less restrictive exhaust grill.

Yes, Truepower is the nicer unit. The sideways hard drive rack is a detriment to good airflow though. Flip a coin.

Edit: Since both cases come with Smartpower power supplies, the Truepower comment is insignificant as far as these cases are concern.

1) The BQE's PSU is a little quieter than the AMB's.

2) BQE has the fixed, rotated HDD cage. It makes installing/removing the drives a bit easier, but due to it's construction/location blocks some of the airflow in the case.

3) BQE has somewhat more free-flowing fan grills compared to the AMB.

Reviews of each case:

Another consideration might be the new SLK3000B. It's a cross between the AMB and the BQE with the best features of each. It's black and has the very good fan grills like the BQE but has the better HDD cage of the AMB. It also comes without a PSU so you can choose your own. Also if you dont like doors there is the 1650.

Actually the 3700AMB and the 3000B are nearly identical - only the color is changed to protect the innocent. 😉 And, of course, the 3000B comes w/o PSU. Best price on 3000B <$50. shipped from Provantage.com. I prefer the 3000b/3700AMB style HD cages as you get better airflow. The outside dimensions of all three are the same.
. According to the pix on newegg, the 3700 and the BQE have identical PSUs (actually one says 350S and the other just 350). I thought for a while that the BQE had the same PSU as the Sonata, but perhaps the PSU can vary depending on where you buy it. Or newegg is swapping the cheaper PSU in and then selling the fancier one to make some extra bucks...
. Nope I just looked on Antec's site and the PSU in the BQE is the one listed on newegg.

.bh.

There's the :sun: !
