"Certain Microsoft credentials, such as Microsoft Certified Trainer and Microsoft Certified Solution Developer, are still hot, but others, such as Microsoft's Certified Professional, are not."

Ummmm, duh. MCP never was hot. All it means is you've passed at least one cert test.

I'm going to be studying for my MCAD for .Net. Maybe go on to MCSD if that still has any demand by then.

Hey, i was thinkin about getting the MCAD in C#. I enjoy .NET and feel that i am learning it on my own, why not just get certified !
PM me if you have any suggestions and recommendations. (books, tutorials.. etc)

Here's one resource that is a good primer for web forms, windows forms and the mobile stuff.
I especially like how u can choose to see the code sample in either vb.net/c#/jscript by just making a selection in that drop down box..
Hope its useful to you.

We got the VB.Net books by Mike Gunderloy, but I can't comment on them yet because I haven't started studying yet.
I meant to start last year, but keep procrastinating.
We are also contemplating switching from VB to C#, so I may hold off until we make that decision. All 3 of us developers would prefer C#, but all our existing code is VB6, so there are some advantages to maintaining a similar syntax.
