Hope this is in the correct forum section. I am starting to move components into a new case with a color theme and love my SoundBlaster Z, but I can't stand the red LEDs. I looked online and saw some solutions but just wanted to check here to make sure any of them are feasible.

The 3 solutions I saw were to 1) clip them off 2) use liquid tape and 3) use electrical tape. They all might be fine, but I really just want to use electric tape. Would that work safely?

I am also interested in painting the red shroud a glossy white. I believe the shroud is aluminium. What kind of paint would I use?
