Some ASUS A7V USB help wanted PLEASE!!!

I know this is getting really old, but I really need some help help here guys.

I have the A7V with the latest bios update of there webpage.

I went to http://www.via.com.tw/drivers/index.htm and downloaded the usb filter, extracted it, and ran the setup. It gave me a Registry Key error and quit. I couldn't beleive it.
I downloaded it again to see if the file was messed, and it did it again.

Could someone please help me here? I really need to get my usb working in order to get back to work. 🙁

Hi,

Perhaps you can get a registry watcher of some sort that would tell you what it is actually trying to do, that set you in the right direction to fix the problem.

I'm not sure if they have one, but start with www.sysinternals.com
 
Thanks, but I got it working..finally.

However, my Logitech Wingman force WILL not work in 98 or ME with this motherboard.

ALl my other usb device work perfect, just not my joystick. I tried all updates, everything, nothing is working.

Strange thing is, it works perfect in windows 2000. hmmm.wtf is with that.

O well.
