Nice! I love Ducati build threads. What model bike?

I was at my dealer yesterday and they have one of the new 1199 Superleggera's in stock. $65,000 for that baby. Every piece of that bike is made out of either aluminum, titanium, magnesium or carbon fiber.

1998 916

Will start snapping pics when i get some of the stuff cleaned and powdercoated. Keep finding little stuff that needs to be replaced (clutch slave boot, swing arm chain guard, chain itself etc)

Looks like a murder scene. Plastic bags, body parts every where, ominous stains on the floor.

😀

 I think that is one of the best looking Ducatis ever made. Definitely keep posting updates and pics.

Does the motor need any work or is it pretty well sorted?

Solid as far as I can tell, I'm gonna replace the timing belt when I get it back into the frame. Lifters look solid (no wear on the chromoly). The bike ran like a champ before i took it apart.

Yeah, flaking chrome was common on those but has probably been addressed by now. I would definitely check the valve clearances while you have the motor out of the bike. It will be easier to adjust them if needed.
