gonna take pics when i get back... but he/she is gone. i went to class and parked my car in a parking lot. i should've rollerbladed instead, DOH!

how much does it cost to repaint it? (nissan sentra GXE 2002)

oh by the way it's the rear bumper that got scratched. it's not really that bad, only a small section of it. not like i'm gonna have money to fix it anytime soon though and it doesn't affect performance.

maybe i'll just hang around ricer boards and if some of those guys decides to rice their car and change bumpers i'll just get one of those :p

Probably around $200-300. All depends on how bad the scratches are and such.

It was, insurance owns it now. ;)

Some big rig made a left turn in front of me and I couldn't stop in time.

Be thankful you're still alive.
My friend's Honda Pilot got sandwiched between the Median wall and a 18wheeler. Sad to say, the Pilot got pwn'd and did a 360.

Now he has a WRX

yeah CHP at the scene mentioned had I hit the trailer another 4-5 feet over I would have gone under the trailer and been decapitated. The big rig got scuffed tires and that was it. :Q

I'm probably going to get some sort of accord for my next car. I was thinking a manual I4 coupe would be a well rounded choice.

What year ? 03 ? 04 ?
What do you think about the prelude ? those can be had pretty cheap.
97-01's. They handle well too.

03/04, either way is fine, there's really no difference between the two years. I'm going to buy new so no prelude.

My parents are going to help me out on this one because I seem to keep getting hit by these giant pickups/trucks and they worry the next time a corolla won't save me.

Corollas were pretty solid. I had a 91 DX as my first car.
The new accords look nice. just make sure if you get the coupe it has a spoiler. For some odd reason, the last gen accord and even this one needs a stock spoiler or it looks kinda ugly.

Yeah I liked my corolla a lot, but that's gone now. I wasn't interested any of the previous gen accords, there's really nothing to them. It's kind of annoying how slow the old auto I4s were, I've read somewhere that they were low 18 sec cars. :\ Even my corolla was a bit faster than that.

New ones are good, I was skimming this thread, and it seems a lot better power than the old ones. I like the look of the new coupe also. I'd like a spoiler but I'm not sure I want to spend another ~500 for it.

You can probably wheel and deal to have them throw it in for free :)

Yeah we'll see what I can do about it. I mean yeah the spoiler just adds a better look to both the new accords, but I'm sure you know that liking a look is still a ways from paying 500 out of pocket for it.

Bumpers are there for bumping. The paint on them is going to get scratched up. Usually though, if you park mostly in parking lots, it's the doors that get all dinged up, not the bumpers. If you usually park on the street, the doors stay beautiful, while the bumpers get scratched up.
